This waxing course will teach you the basics of some of the most popular treatments in the beauty salon. You will learn how to use warm wax and hot wax safely and professionally to remove unwanted hair from feet, legs, basic bikini, underarms, face and nose.
This course is a pre-requisite for anyone wishing to attend the female intimate waxing course.
All courses running in Glasgow & Largs are one to one, to ensure every student gets 100% of the trainers attention.
Students are required to work on 2 models on the day.

Course structure
This course is structured over one day and runs from 10 am – 5 pm (course times can run over). We ask students to arrive at 9.45 am to ensure a prompt start. You will learn most of the theory of the treatment from the pre-read firstly and spend the course day practising your practical skills, with a short break for lunch. Tea, coffee and water are provided during the day, you can bring cold food light lunch.

Our Waxing Course is available in Glasgow, Largs, Brighton and Dartford.
Introduction to waxing, consultation, medical conditions affecting suitability for treatment, patch testing, methods of waxing, requirements, code of ethics and conduct, PPE, hygiene, skin anatomy, hair anatomy, hair structure, hair growth cycle, preparation of work area and health and safety. Working on live models – Feet wax, leg wax, basic bikini wax, underarm wax, facial wax and nasal waxing.
There is no kit included in the price of this course. Kits can be purchased separately from our waxing product page
Students work on each other for the Waxing Course. Please allow at least 4 weeks hair growth in all areas to be waxed. Should you not be able to have the treatment due to medical reasons, please let us know and arrange to bring a model.
Students insurance can be obtained from ABT (01789773573)Â this will cover you from the course date until you have qualified. We will issue you with a discount code when you book the course.
Students must be 18 years of age or older before the start date of the course.
A course pre-read will be emailed to you, this must be read before course date. There is no need to print the pre-read as one will be issued to you at the start of the course.
Ability to use and comprehend spoken and written English.
The 1-day training consists of both theory and practical elements although most of the theory will be done prior to the course date giving more hands-on practice time in the classroom. After successfully completing the course you are issued with a Waxing Diploma accredited by ABT which will enable you to obtain the insurance required to offer your new skill to clients. We aim to provide high quality training with post course support at an affordable cost to benefit you and your business!
